Dungloe, Dunlewey, Gweedore and areas...
back to home page

Can't go anywhere without a car. So here we have an old 1989 Volvo, in which we jammed in 7 people. Whew. Liked it so much...we bought it. So it will be our means of transport next year.

That's Mt. Errigal in the background. Photo up along the road to Dunlewey.

Everyone got into the act...photo with Mt. Errigal.

At the Lakeside Center in Dunlewey, we saw this "dad" on Father's Day. Great Sunday meal.

This peacock was quite friendly.

Rachel shopping at Dunlewey. Seems to have mastered this Irish money thing, I think.

Rachel with Grainne, Eddy the mailman's wife, at Dunlewey.

At Dunlewey, the girls take a moment to watch a potter thru on the wheel. Rachel liked it so much, she bought a pot.

Sun and shades with Carly, Eliot, Phyl and Wilma. The games at Dunlewey...

Wow. It was a sunny day at Dunlewey.

Skipping rocks at Lough Lewey. It was really windy that day.

On the road to Dungloe, a sweater on the hoof.

The crew walked to Dungloe from the SuperValue while I met with Dodo. June 21.

Grandma having a football special? No. But her pose is convincing. Lunch at the Bloody Forelands Hotel.

On the road to the beach with round rocks at the Bloody Forelands.

Eliot took these series of pics as we slowly made our way down the road to the beach. June 25, Sunday.

Scenery, Eliot style.

Amazing landscape views.

The original "surf" (Atlantic Ocean) and turf.

The girls being goofy on the smooth rock beach.

Grandma amongst the rocks.

Eliot - outstanding in his field. Ha. Ha.

Picnic Rock: Gweedore.

Couldn't have had a better day for the picnic. Thanks for the stuff in the bag...including Roses.

Wilma, Phyl and I sat while the kids ran to a sand dune about a 1/2 mile away.

Beach landscape.

More picnic rocking.

Just a great day. Ooops. I already said that, huh. We waited for some of the locals to join us.

And we weren't disappointed.

Meg and Carly - out standing in the field.

That boat is looking rougher and rougher...but still is THE landmark. Well, seamark.
