Carly, Meg and Rachel waiting for the McGinley Coach to pick
them up at Paddy Og's for their trip to Dublin City.

And the coach arrives at 3:10pm. It drops the girls off by
the Gresham Hotel at 8:30pm. Mom and I are there to pick
them up...but just barely.

Hungry? We all piled into the car (Meg in the boot as usual) and went to Temple
Bar to eat Italian the day the Italians won the final for the Euro2000
cup.

We ate at Botticelli's. Fast service. Pizza was better than
spaghetti.

Group shot outside.

A couple of goofs in the Temple Bar area.

Back at the Stella Maris in Dublin, this is what Wilma had
to look forward to every day. Up 2 flights....and down 2
flights.

Full Irish Breakfast.

Guard cat in the back at the Stella Maris Car Park.

Waving from Grandma's room...

...with Phyl at the other side.

Group shot in front of the Stella Maris. It
was a sunny day on Friday, June 30, when we did our tour of
Dublin City.

Inside the Presbyterian Church.

Presbyterian Church...Finbar's Church at the
top of Parnel Square.

Outside "up" shot. The Writer's Museum is next
door.

The Writer's Museum.

On the Dublin Open-air Tour Bus. We caught it on O'Connell
Street.

Right past the GPO.

Plastered around the city were posters about a protest rally
to be held on Saturday.

Entrance to Trinity College.

Bank of Ireland Building...old Constitution Building.
Trinity on right.

Another view of Trinity College.

We're on St. Stephen's Green by the Sheridan Hotel. That's
the St. Stephen's Green shopping center at the top of
Grafton Street.

Down Dawson Street, the smallest pub in Ireland. Only fits
9. Ron Blacks. Have to go out on the sidewalk if you want to
change your mind. Heh. Heh.

EU Building on right.

Doen Nassau Street bordering Trinity College. There's the
statue of Molly Malone.

Down on a side street to Dame Street.

Warm and sunny.

Off we went to Christ Church to see Dublinia. This was the
best part...right outside.

We walked down to Grafton street to Bewley's for lunch. Here
are buscars. I think they were playing Mozart's Eine
Kleine Nachtmusik.

The crowds along Grafton were something else.

Back on the tour bus, new apartments overlooking St.
Patricks with medallions of Swift's Gulliver's Travels.

The coach goes right to the source...Not stopping here with
Grandma.

Friday, June 30, Eliot does some last minute packing before
his trip to Israel. We got up on Saturday, July 1, and Phyl
and I drove him to the airport. He got checked in OK. Then
off to get a haircut, before passing through security and on
to immigration. We called him later that day. He had arrived
OK and was checked in. At the time of this writing, Eliot is
flying over Dublin on his way to Prague and then to Israel.
Wow.

Meanwhile...Saturday, July 1, was a shopping day for the
girls. It was raining most of the day, but that didn't stop
them. This is show-and-tell later Saturday night.

Shopping can be...IS very tiring. Ask Phyl. Just look at
Phyl. The girls had a great time. And they went all around
by themselves. Very good. We, of course, were racked with
nervousness.
On Sunday, July 2, Phyl,
Meg and Carly walked down to Parnell Square to take the
McGinley Coarch back to Crolly. It left at 12:30pm and
arrived at 6pm. Wilma and I took Rachel to the airport. We
got her checked in. We were allowed to go thru with her. I
got Wilma and Rachel into the 1st Class Lounge for some
quiet time (Coke, biscuits, tea and great coffee too). Got
Rachel through immigration and said our goodbyes. Sad to see
her go, but I think she was ready to see her Mom and Dad and
Ty and sisters, again. Our landing back to Meenaleck was
great. Sunny and warm. No rain. Beautiful!!!
