On my way to Oradea, Romania (and back again), I stopped off in Budapest, Hungary, to explore for a potential University of Dubuque trip.

They were shooting a movie. Modern sculpture of female skeleton holding a male head, called Theatre Statue, because it's outside of Moulin Rouge.

In the section just behind the huge Neolog Synagogue, there are "ruin" pubs. Students are going to love these.

Memorial to Carl Lutz, the Swiss diplomat who saved 5k families (not 5k people) in WWII. He was imprisoned for it back in Switzerland.
Neolog, Orthodox and Status Quo. This Synagogue is empty. Műemlék means "Heritage". The state can't tear it down because it has a plaque. Raw.
Great playground in the Jewish section. Also bookstore/art gallery.
